During a photojournalistic mission in Ivory Coast Lorenz Florizoone documented an initiation rite for young girls in Zanzan the Northern region of Ivory Coast. He followed several muslim girls and interviewed their families about this proud tradition. These portraits are an attempt to capture the lives and spirit of this specific community.
